We have a whistler.
The other day when Megan and I were at the library with Serena and Liddie, Megan heard a whistling. Normally that's something Serena would do as is isn't strange to hear her whistling or singing while doing all sorts of different activities including singing to herself while spending time in public restrooms, but this time Megan looked around and it wasn't Serena whistling, it was Liddie.
Now she'll whistle on demand, anytime you want her to. She gets a serious look as she purses her lips together and it is so cute. I could have sworn that I heard her whistling in tune the other day as we were driving down the street listening to Alicia Keyes' song "No One"
So when we got the dogs we put Daisy's mat next to their crate so she could hang out with the puppies. Lydia came our and started whisting to the puppies and putting her face up to the cage and kissing them and then plopped right down in between Daisy and the puppies and played with them for a long time.
Daisy is so sweet to Lyddie that she just slid aside and let her take over. Daisy also let Lyddie lean back and lay on her while playing with the puppies.
At first we were worried that Lyddie might hurt them or something but now the newness is wearing off and Lyddie just says "Hi" to them, pets them and then moves on to other knee high adventures.
